Moraga Art Gallery will celebrate its Grand Re-opening at #522 Center St in the Rheem Center by featuring the work of Gallery Member & local artist Angelica Samame, painter, as well as guest artist, Karin Lechner, jewelry designer, in its new show, Jan. 10, 2012.  The public is invited to view Angelica’s art and Karin’s jewelry along with gallery members’ work at the show’s opening reception & Grand Re-opening celebration, Jan.14, 3-5 p.m.

Angelica paints with a whimsical style using acrylics. "My personal journey as an artist is (in) the creation. I become inspired while painting. I associate movement with music. Emotions with art. My art is about what pleases me."

Karin makes wearable art in the form of one-of-a-kind beaded jewelry.  “My designs come to life in much the same way as the rooms I create as an interior designer: choosing unusual elements and combining them with regard to color, texture and scale.  I like using varied materials, many times in unexpected ways.”

Moraga Art Gallery is a collective of 16 established, local artists and artisans. The public is invited to visit Tuesday – Sunday, 12 – 5 p.m. MAG’s new location is between TJ Maxx and DollarTree in the Rheem Center in Moraga.   The new show, “Kaleidoscope” will run from Jan. 10 through March 17.
