Watched it and it looks just like the same old partisan politics' sent by the GOP PR Machine..TheRead Morevi deo includes Benghazi, Obama care, and what democrats the GOP need to remove to stop the GOP "fighting" that ends with a elect GOP for a "government for the people by the people" but we all know the government is corporate run.. I always appreciate how much each side can participate in the blame game and twist the truth to their favor I really like the politicians/people that blame the president for what the politicians voted for in congress or before the President was in office..

This state already levies a tax burden that is too high, and all I hear about are calls for moreRead Moreand more taxes. Enough, the state and local governments take in plenty of money...The problem is not how much money there is, but how it is spent and wasted....imo.

Everyone reading this must report this to the IRS, print out the whole thing and fax it to the IRSRead Moreo r call their hotline, even send them on email. This guy needs the help of the IRS and other government agencies.

Looks like we lost another editor. By David. Good luck.
Chris Nicholson January 31, 2014 at 12:56 PM
Ditto. Best of luck, David. Looks like Autumn Johnson is the new editor. Seems like the job ofRead Moret he remaining Patch editors is to sift through a generic news feed and throw arguably relevant content onto the various (allegedly) local sites. For fun, pull up a few adjacent Patch websites and count how many of the top 5-6 articles are common.

Anyone know how to contact her? I can't figure out what her email is.

Wow, if you truly live in Orinda and work in this industry I would think you could read the side of Read Morethe truck picking up your green waste every week. The trucks in Orinda and throughout ALL of Lamorinda are Waste Management. Not Republic. Republic is ONLY our trash hauler. The green waste is picked up by Waste Management, and hauled to Davis St. in San Leandro. In case your job didn't tell you, Waste Management isn't bidding on this contract. So before you claim to be so "in the know", you may want to do your homework.
Monica White January 31, 2014 at 10:41 PM
Thanks for the comment AC! If you look at the contract (available on the CCCSWA website) RepublicRead Moreis responsible for processing the green waste and yard waste. You are correct that the collection portion of the contract is with Valley Waste (waste management). I have personally presented on this topic at the Lafayette City council meeting, the board of supervisors meeting (county) and the CCCSWA meeting where all the documents should be made public and available for your review.

Has anyone paused to ask whether is is better, from a cost-benefit perspective (including cost ofRead Moregr eenhouse gases), to just dump the yard waste in the trash dump and have it be part of a subsequent methane recovery project?
