Lamorinda Police Searching for Missing Lafayette Man

Police in Lafayette, Moraga, and Orinda were put on alert Tuesday after a Lafayette resident's car was found abandoned and running in Pleasant Hill.

Lamorinda police were alerted to be on the lookout for an 82-year-old Lafayette man whose car was found abandoned in a Pleasant Hill parking lot Tuesday evening.

The Withers Avenue resident was being sought since his car was found running and abandoned in an Oak Park Blvd. parking lot at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Officers who checked the man's residence found the doors open, the lights on, and a television running.

A Pleasant Hill officer informed Patch Thursday that the man eventually recovered his car and made his way home, which was great to hear.
